Location Map

Built in the 17th Century, the Hurstbourne sits on the junction of the B3400 Andover Road and the B3048 Longparish Road, at the feet of the rolling South Downs.  Midway along the beautiful Test Valley, it is conveniently situated for ramblers and fisherman using the nearby rivers Bourne and Test.

Two cosy bars serve lagers and well kept real ales, along with morning coffee and afternoon teas.  Delicious, fresh home-cooked food is served in the restaurant and bed & breakfast accommodation is available in three well appointed guest rooms.

There has been an inn on the site for many years.  Previously known as the Portsmouth Arms, this picture shows the inn as it was in 1912.

Hurstbourne Inn News

Out with the Old In with the New

We have looked at the change in our clientele over the past year and it is evident that the majority of customers are visiting us to sample our excellent food prepared by our AA accredited chef. To this end we have removed the pool table and created a lounge area were customers can have a pre dinner drink or simply pop in for a glass of fine wine or specially selected bottled beer. Our regular beers and real ales will still be available.
